These courses are biblical and theological in nature in that they provide a solid base for understanding the bible and key areas of doctrine.

PM201 – Intro to Counseling Principles (Self-Confrontation)

This course deals with specific counseling situations pastors and church counselors face, i.e., ministering to the depressed, the suicidal, married couples, divorcees, bereaved, the dying, and homosexuals.

PM202 – Marriage and Family Counseling

A study of the Biblical format for preparation for marriage and the structure of the family and the home, problems, in marriage, and child/parent relationship. Attention will be given to the roles of the husband, wife, children and the chain of command.

PM203 – The Use of Scriptures in Counseling

This introductory level course is designed to teach students how to use scriptures in counseling.

PM204 – Human Development

A look at the physical, spiritual, emotional and social aspects of human development at each state in life from birth to senior citizens with the view to minister Christ to the individual in each level of development. Concepts, principles, theories and research concerning the biological and environmental influences on the behavior and psychological development is covered in depth

PM205 – Introduction to Teaching

This course provides the student with an understanding of teaching, what is involved in the teaching process, and what is required of teachers.

PM206 – Five-Fold Ministry (Ephesian 4:11)

This course is a brief overview of the position of the local church in God’s plan, the structure and order of the New Testament church, the ministries of the local church and their function. This class will present a detailed study of the five ministry gifts taught in scripture and how these ministries function within the present-day local church setting.

PM207 – Church Administration

Order is God’s plan and purpose. This course is designed to give pastors, teachers, coordinators, administrators, and other Christian workers a thorough knowledge of Administration. One aim is to show the necessity for an entire staff to work effectively as a team, so that the total program of the Church will be effective.

PM208 – The Role of Deacons, Elders, and Bishops in the Church

The importance of leadership cannot be over emphasized. It is needed in the body of Christ. This course will explore the qualification, character, and nature of a spiritual leader within the church. It will also answer such questions as what is leadership? How do elders, deacons, and bishops exercise leadership within the church?

PM209 – Expository Preaching

The primary call of the ministry is to preach. This course will equip the student with the basics in preaching, sermon preparation and delivery. The focus will be upon practicing the method of expository preaching.

PM210 – Creating Preaching, Narrative Sermons

In addition to covering the general homiletical principles of how to prepare and deliver a sermon in proper form and with feeling, this course will teach the student how to get the message from God and deliver them under the anointing of the Holy Spirit’s power. The student will be required to develop and deliver several types of sermons, based on the principles learned in this course.

PM211 – Pastoral Care and Ministry

Emphasis is placed on the practical and business aspects that the potential pastor will encounter. Included in this course are times such as legal and financial matters for both the church and the pastor’s incorporation, tax exemption, regulations, record keeping, and tax reporting. Also, how to conduct a wedding, funeral, and other basis things for effective pastoral ministry.

PM212 – Student Intern Practicum

This course culminates the Ministerial Studies program. The student is placed in a practical ministry environment (i.e., assisting a pastor in a local church, youth ministry, hospital, prison) where learned techniques can be practically applied. The student’s work will be evaluated.

PM213 – Explosive Evangelism

A study on how to evangelize through signs and wonders. The student will learn to flow in the spirit to heal the sick, cast out demons, and work miracles. This course will also discuss the basics of foreign missions, regarding how it is done.

Scheduled: September 5, 2022 – October 21, 2022

PM214 – Foreign Missions

This course teaches the importance of foreign missions, what is needed to evangelize in foreign countries, and how to do it. Foreign missionaries, films and documentaries will be used to educate students on the need for Christ in the foreign fields. The student will study Bible missionaries, early missionaries and contemporary missionaries.

PM215 – Effective Teaching Methods

A study of the selection and creative use of curriculum materials and resources to fulfill the educational task of the church to develop Christian faith and discipleship by making lessons come alive.

PM216 – How to Conduct a Marriage Ceremony

The student will be instructed in how to conduct a Christian marriage service. They will be given the opportunity to practice a wedding ceremony in class.

PM217 – How to Conduct a Baptism Service

The student will be instructed in the tradition of Christian Baptism. The student will be given the opportunity to practice what they have learned. This course will focus on best practices.

PM218 – How to Conduct a Communion Service

The student will be instructed in the theology and practice of Communion. The student will be given the opportunity to practice conducting a Communion Service.

PM219 – How to Conduct a Baby Dedication Service

The student will be instructed in the practice of baby dedication within the church. The student will be given the opportunity to practice a baby dedication service.

PM220 – How to Preside or Officiate over a Church Service

The student will learn the appropriate manner for presiding over a church service. What are the techniques and methods used to move the service to its climate the proclaiming of the Word?

PM221 – The Leadership Journey

This course is designed for those who have a call to leadership within their life. What are the basic practices of a leader? What are the basic principles of leadership? Are leaders born or are they nurtured.

PM222 – Church Planting

Has God called you to be a church planter? Do you know where to start? What are the best practices? This class will provide the student will some keen insight from veteran church planters on the process of starting a church.

PM223 – In Defense of the Faith

This is a rigorous course of how to respond to skeptics about the true claims of non-believers.  This course will equip the student in how to provide cogent arguments for the existence of God.

PM224 – Introduction to Preaching

This course is designed for a new beginner to the ministry of preaching. What is preaching? Who is the preacher? And what is the message to be preached? These are just a few of the questions that will be address in this course. Also, this course will walk the students through the practical steps in the process of preparing and in the delivery of a biblical sermon.

PM225 – Ministry in Action
